This Summer we&#8217;ve presented seven delightful treats for you to try out. Cherry on the cake? Today&#8217;s last (sadly) <a title="http://www.facebook.com/GlamAtHeart" href="http://www.facebook.com/GlamAtHeart" target="_blank">Glam At Heart </a> sweet recipe: we end in style, with a Pancake Party pie!</p>
<p><strong>Mmm, we&#8217;re so ready to take a big bite!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Ingrediënts (chocolate mousse)</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>200 g <a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" target="_blank">Daskalidès Cooking Chocolate</a></li>
<li>6 x egg yellow</li>
<li>6 x egg white</li>
<li>100 g sugar</li>
<li>375 ml cream</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>This is how you make chocolate mousse:</strong></p>
<p>* Melt your chocolate in a hot water bath.</p>
<p>* Separate yellow from white eggs.</p>
<p>* Put your egg yellow in a big bowl, start to stir together with sugar. Prefer what you use best: a mixer or machine. Add sugar and stir until everything is mixed until you&#8217;ll get a foamy transparent mixture.</p>
<p>* Add the melted <strong>Daskalidès chocolate</strong> with the mixture. Put everything together.</p>
<p>* Take your egg white and stir these until you&#8217;ll get a light fluffy texture. You surely want the perfect chocolate mousse!</p>
<p>* Easily stir your two mixtures in one bowl, very slowly and in separate parts.</p>
<p>* Take your cream and mix it half, you don&#8217;t want to become whipped cream.</p>
<p>* Again mix everything together and at last put your mixture in your serving bowl. Put in to the fridge and leave for couple of hours.</p>
<p><strong>.. now it&#8217;s time for a little magic..</strong></p>
<p>Take a pancake and put it on a plate, add a layer of <strong>Daskalidès chocolate mousse</strong>. Take another pancake and now add a layer of strawberry jam. Continue until all of your pancakes are easily transformed in to a perfect cake! Finish last layer with lots of chocolate mousse.</p>
<p><em>On top? Fresh strawberries! So yum!</em></p>

Salt or sweet- or maybe both?</p>
<p>Elfi: &#8216;I love chocolate. <a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/diverse/orangettes" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/diverse/orangettes" target="_blank">Orangettes</a>, <a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/diverse/fruits-de-mer" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/diverse/fruits-de-mer" target="_blank">chocolate seafood</a>, or <a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/diverse/amandes-enrobees-mix" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/diverse/amandes-enrobees-mix" target="_blank">almonds </a>covered in milk chocolate, I could eat lots and lots of it. But if I had to choose I would go for chips or salted peanuts as a light after work snack.</p>
<p>Find it hard to choose between salt or sweet, go on keep on reading.. who knows I&#8217;ll be revealing my not so dirty chocolate secrets with you. Sharing is so much better! Except when it comes to eating candy, then you&#8217;ll find me alone on my couch for a double treat: me- time and these funky peanuts, yummie!</p>
<p>How to? Peanuts! Better: wait until you&#8217;ve tasted them!</p>
<p><strong>What you need is: </strong></p>
<p>- unsalted peanuts<br />
- Daskalidès C<a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" target="_blank">ooking chocolate</a></p>
<p>Start preparing!</p>
<p>* Add some cooking chocolate in a bowl and place in to microwave (lowest).<br />
* Stir with a spoon and repeat until chocolate is melted completely.<br />
* Add peanuts with this melted chocolate and again give it a good mix/ stir.<br />
* Place in to the fridge for 15 minutes until it get&#8217;s a little bit harder. Afterwards take some mixture with a spoon and place little dots/ rocks on to a plate.<br />
* Cool down again in the fridge, when hard and finished put them on a pretty plate and they&#8217;re ready to be served!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Always wanted to make your own chocolate bonbon? Now is your chance to step into the world of Willy Wonka himself.</p>
<p>Go on, what you&#8217;re waiting for?</p>
<p>No Oompa Loompa&#8217;s, but Elfi from <strong><a title="http://www.facebook.com/GlamAtHeart" href="http://www.facebook.com/GlamAtHeart" target="_blank">Glam At Heart</a></strong> is showing us to make your own chocolate bonbon with dark chocolate and her favorite filling: spiced biscuits (or paste).</p>
<p>Elfi: &#8216;Where I got my inspiration?&#8217;- Easy! I&#8217;m a big fan of chocolate. Add some spiced biscuits at it and you&#8217;ll find me in chocolate heaven.. Inspired by <a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/neapolitans/lait-speculoos" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/neapolitans/lait-speculoos" target="_blank">Daskalidès chocolate bars with spiced biscuits</a> in it, I couldn&#8217;t resist any longer..</p>
<p><em>Who doesn&#8217;t want to cook and play with chocolate?</em></p>
<p><strong>Things you need:</strong></p>
<p>-  40 ml milk<br />
-  250 grams of <a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" target="_blank">Cooking Chocolate</a><br />
- spicy biscuits (or paste)<br />
- ice cube mold</p>
<p><strong>How to start?</strong></p>
<p>* Mix spiced biscuits together with cold milk until you&#8217;re get a smooth dough.</p>
<p>* Melt your chocolate au bain-marie or heat into a microwave (low). Take half of this fluent chocolate and add it into the ice cube mold. When full with chocolate, turn around and let all chocolate that&#8217;s left out of the mold.</p>
<p>* At last add half a teaspoon balls of mixed spice biscuits in each square and throw a bit of chocolate over them.</p>
<p>* Put in to the fridge and let cool off for at least one hour.</p>

<p><em>Best part?</em> You can create whatever you want: chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting, candy cupcake glaze, decorated with confetti sprinkles,.. when it comes to cupcakes, there are no rules and everything&#8217;s possible! <em>Right? </em></p>
<p>My favorite is without a doubt a delightful syrup waffle cupcake. And as we couldn&#8217;t pass this Summer without presenting freshly baked cakes on a chocolate plate, I started to ge creative with my own version of a <strong>Daskalidès Jelly Jam syrup waffle cupcake</strong>. Perfect to celebrate Summer! <em>Who&#8217;s in?</em></p>
<p><strong>PIECE OF CAKE</strong></p>
<p>Ingrediënts: (24 cupcakes)</p>
<p>- 360 grams self raising flour<br />
- 200 grams flour<br />
- 240 grams unsalted butter<br />
- 480 grams sugar<br />
- 4 big eggs<br />
- 240 ml milk<br />
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract<br />
- syrup waffles (min. 6)<br />
- whipped cream<br />
- <a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/jam" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/jam" target="_blank">Daskalidès strawberry jelly jam<br />
</a>- colourful toppings</p>
<p><strong>Shake it. Make it. Bake it!</strong></p>
<p>* Make sure your oven is heated (180°C)</p>
<p>* First add flour and self raising flour in a big bowl, separated from other ingrediënts.</p>
<p>* Mix butter and add sugar, start mixing about 3 minutes until it gets</p>
<p>* Put all eggs (one by one) and afterwards all dry ingredients together with the milk and vanilla.</p>
<p><em><strong>Tip: best way to do this, is adding this 3x and not stir too much, just be gentle with your mixture.</strong></em></p>
<p>* When finished, put your dough in cupcake molds (3/4) and bake them on 180°C for about 16 minutes.</p>
<p><strong><em>Tip: keep on checking your cakes, if not ready you can leave them in the oven for about 18 minutes too.</em></strong></p>
<p>* Before adding sweetness (Daskalidès confituur) and toppings, let your cakes cool off.</p>
<p>Elfi: &#8216;To make the filling extra Summerish, I&#8217;m using Daskalidès strawberry jelly jam. Just cut out the top of your cake, gently remove some dough with a teaspoon and start filling your cupcake to make it extra sweet!<strong>&#8216;</strong></p>
<p>Instead of heavy buttercream, decorate with a touch of whipped cream and add different kinds of toppings on top of it. Sprinkle as much as you like.</p>
<p><em>Extra Glam- tip (!): really wanna score with these cupcakes? Cut out little syrup waffle hearts with a (cookie) mold. Add on to your whipped cream for a heartbreaking result! Melting already?</em></p>
<p><strong>Totally my cup of cake!</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Hot Summer nights, time to treat yourself with something sweet! What about an ice cold treat? <em>Are you daydreaming yet?</em></p>
<p>62 days of Summer, starting right here, right now. Picture perfect would be a Daskalidès cupcake (recipe next week) in one hand, and an ice cold <strong>Chocolate Coffee Frappé</strong> in the other.<br />
A classic coffee, but different, and with a touch of <a title="http://www.facebook.com/GlamAtHeart" href="http://www.facebook.com/GlamAtHeart" target="_blank">Glam.</a>. <strong>Time for a treat! </strong></p>
<p><strong>What do you need?</strong><br />
- coffee powder (instant)<br />
- 150 ml water<br />
- 1/2 cup of milk<br />
- <strong><a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" target="_blank">Daskalidès Cooking <strong></strong></a><strong><a title="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" href="http://www.daskalides.com/en/product-range/goodies/cooking-chocolate" target="_blank">Chocolate</a></strong></strong><br />
- crushed ice (optional)<br />
- cinnamon<br />
- decorations<br />
- whipped cream<br />
- mixer</p>
<p><strong>Piece- of- coffee:</strong><br />
* Mix coffee powder and 150 ml hot water in a cup.<br />
* Melt some Daskalidès Cooking Chocolate until you get syrup.<br />
* Put all ingrediënts: coffee, milk, chocolate syrup in to your blender/ mixer.<br />
* Do you prefer your coffee ice cold? Add some ice cubes and mix again until you got a crushed coffee.<br />
* Finishing touch? Whipped cream and a touch of cinnamon.</p>
<p><em>Extra Glam- tip (!): choose your coffee wisely and add 1 topping as an extra statement. Sprinkles always do the trick!</em></p>

<p>Pimp your popcorn: that&#8217;s the way we do it!</p>
<p><strong>Crunchy caramel!</strong><br />
Without a doubt my favorite! Crunchy popcorn! So easy- to -do! Just add some fine sugar in a bowl and heat this up. When getting a thick liquid, pour over your popcorn and finish by shaking it.</p>
<p><em>Extra Glam- tip (!): for an extra popping result, add some color and go for pink, blue pastel popcorn.</em></p>
<p><strong>Oh la la chocola!</strong><br />
It&#8217;s simple. We can&#8217;t get enough of chocolate right? Best part: it&#8217;s good for you! <p>For this challenge we asked Elfi from <strong>&#8216;Glam At Heart</strong>&#8216; to join the party and make it Summer proof with our <strong>Daskalidès</strong>- collection, in an even more delightful way. Fashion- finger licking food? We know what&#8217;s best for our sweet readers, therefore presented on a plate on our Chocolate Journal- blog. Are you ready?</p>
<p><em>&#8216;If I wanted to be creative with Daskalidès sweets? No doubt about that! At this moment, everything around us is inspired by (arm) candy. I couldn&#8217;t be more happier with the thought of dessert dresses, soft and edible accessories, even the girls love to (dye) dip their hair in pretty pastels. Sweet! My favorite? Strawberry milkshake- pink! When it comes to fashion, there&#8217;s only one way to true glamour: do it in style! Same counts for food. Make it, bake it and enjoy!&#8217;</em></p>
<p>Summer stands for.. ice- scream!<br />
I scream, we all scream: lollipops. Who doesn&#8217;t want to join a party when there&#8217;s confetti involved? Pimp your (Daskalidès) party!</p>
<p><strong>Ready. Set. Go!</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Mix all juicy ingredients in a bowl, as simple as that.</li>
<li>Instead of adding sugar, take little pieces <strong>Pâtes de Fruits</strong> (Daskalidès) and place these in your ice-shaped mold.</li>
<li>Place in freezer for a couple of hours.</li>
</ul>
<p>Glam- tip (!): When waiting your treat, don&#8217;t forget to put yourself in the picture. Your nails? Use candy colored glitter for a party popping result!</p>
<p>This is it! Start licking your lollipops (fingers included)!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Make the delicious Daskalidès brownie yourself, check this unique recipe of our maître-chocolatier Didier.</p>
<h2>Ingredients (for 8 persons)</h2>
<p>200 g of Daskalidès Macondo 58% Cooking Chocolate<br />
250 g butter<br />
50 g flour<br />
2 teaspoons baking powder<br />
3 eggs<br />
200 g brown sugar<br />
50 g honey<br />
150 g roasted pecan nuts</p>
<h2>Instructions</h2>
<p>Preheat the oven to 170 °C. Roast the pecan nuts in a pan without oil and chop them into fine pieces. Melt the chocolate (in a bowl above hot water or in the microwave on a low volume). Don’t forget to stir. Add the half-melted butter to the warm chocolate. Beat the eggs together with the baking powder, the brown sugar and the honey until you get a fluffy mix. Make sure the brown sugar is completely dissolved. Next sift the flour and mix it in with the chocolate and egg mixture. Finally pour everything into the baking tin and bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven.</p>
<p>Let it cool down before you take it out of the tin and cut into small squares.<br />
Enjoy!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This delicious chocolate and hazelnut treat is simply irresistible. And easy to make too. The star of this overly delicious dessert is a sweet and crunchy fig.</p>
<h2>Ingredients (for 6 persons)</h2>
<p>200 g of Daskalidès Macondo 58% Cooking Chocolate<br />
220 g of chocolate hazelnut spread<br />
150 g of roasted hazelnuts, chopped<br />
18 small fresh figs</p>
<h2>Instructions</h2>
<p>Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water (don’t let the bowl touch the water).<br />
Remove the bowl from the warm water, and stir in the hazelnut spread until combined.<br />
Spread the nuts on a plate. Dip each fig into the chocolate to coat two-thirds of the fruit. Roll the figs in the chopped hazelnuts.<br />
Place the figs on a baking-paper lined tray and chill for 30 minutes, then serve. Enjoy!</p>
